Chittoor: Civic bodies term to end by July 2
The statutory term of the eight civic bodies in the district will come to an end by July 2, said Chittoor Municipal Corporation Commissioner C Obulesu here on Monday.

The eight civic bodies are Tirupati Municipal Corporation, Chittoor Municipal Corporation, Madanapalle municipality, Srikalahasti civic body, Punganur, Puttur, Palamaner and Nagari municipalities.
The State Election Commission has instructed the commissioners of the civic bodies to get ready for conducting polls to municipalities, stated C Obulesu.
Addressing the media here, Obulesu said division-wise voters list were already published in all the municipalities in the district. Responding over the shortage of drinking water in the city, the civic chief said transportation of water through hired tankers has undertaken in the city as per the instructions of the Collector.
