He recalled the sacrifices of the police personnel who died while performing duties. Chittoor MLA A Srinivasulu was the special guest on the programme. Addressing the meeting, the SP gave details of programmes held during Police Commemoration Week in the district.

The commitment of police personnel is an inspiration to the department, he said. He said that blood donation camps were held in all the police stations in the district during the week in which 322 police constables and 901 people have donated blood voluntarily.

Face to face meets with the students were held in 34 junior colleges in which 6,000 students were present. Medical Health Camps to police families were held in a big way covering all police families, he added.

On the occasion MLA A Srinivasulu said that Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy was committed for the welfare of the police.

The sacrifices of the policemen during the year in the country are always recollected and remembered. Joint Collector 2 V R Chandra Mouli, Divisional Forest Officer Narendran and Sunil Kumar, ASPs Supraja, Krishnarjuna Rao, Chandra Mouli, DSPs Krishna Mohan, Lakshmi Narayana, CIs Bhaskara Reddy, Yugandhar and others were present.
