Collector stresses on regular maintenance of NH 216 stretch
East Godavari District Collector D Muralidhar Reddy stresses on the need for regular maintenance of the stretch of newly formed NH 216 for the convenience of the people.
Kakinada: East Godavari District Collector D Muralidhar Reddy stresses on the need for regular maintenance of the stretch of newly formed NH 216 for the convenience of the people. The collector on Tuesday inspected the phase 1 works of NH216, covering 27.5 kms taken up at an estimated cost of Rs. 480 core from Kattipudi to Kakinada By Pass Road in East Godavari district .
In this connection, the Collector directed the NH 216 officials to ensure maintenance of sign boards and lighting facility in the entire stretch and to protect the tree plantation taken up in the road margins and to replace with new plants where they were not survived .
Proper maintenance of service road at Kattipudi junction where the NH 16 joins to NH 216 was also suggested by the Collector. Muralidhar Reddy also inspected the Bypass Road works in phase 2, at Sarpavaram village in Kakinada rural, where the ROB works are in progress. This Bypass Road connects Uppalankamondi in Karapa mandal en route Amalapuram in East Godavari.
