Vijayawada: In a daring and life-saving act, Assistant Sub-inspector of police D Arjun Rao, had dived in Bandar canal and rescued a woman who was washing away in the gushing waters.
According to information, Arjun Rao, who is working in Armed Reserve police, had noticed a woman has washed away in the Bandar canal and he immediately reacted and jumped into the canal.
He saved the life of the woman. DGP D Gautam Sawang congratulated the ASI and announced that he name would be referred to Prime minister life-saving medal. More details are awaited.
