Coronavirus cases in Andhra Pradesh have declined sharply in the past 24 hours with 1,056 new cases reported on Sunday taking the total number of cases in the state to 854011.
Coronavirus cases in Andhra Pradesh have declined sharply in the past 24 hours with 1,056 new cases reported on Sunday taking the total number of cases in the state to 854011. Meanwhile, another 14 people have died in the state due to the virus with two each in Anantapur, Chittoor, Krishna and Visakhapatnam, one each in East Godavari, Guntur, Kadapa, Prakasam, Vizianagaram and West Godavari. With the latest deaths, the total death toll in the state has risen to 6868.
On the other hand, as many as 2,140 newly recovered cases were reported, which brings the total number of recoveries of the virus in Andhra Pradesh to 8,28,484. Currently the number of coronavirus active cases in the state is 18659.
As per the bulletin, 53,215 coronavirus tests have been conducted in Andhra Pradesh. This brings the number of coronavirus tests conducted so far in the state reaches 91,54,263. According to district wise case reported on Sunday, 206 people tested positive for on in Guntur followed by 154 in West Godavari, 153 in Krishna and 139 in East Godavari were infected with corona. Of concern is the fact that 25 per cent of the cases registered in the state are in Guntur alone.
