Except, the sitting MLA and TDP contestant P V G R Naidu, all the MLA candidates including YSRCP candidate M Vijaya Prasad, JSP aspirant J V Satyanarayana Murthy and BJP candidate Chandrasekhar attended the programme.

While answering questions, YSRCP candidate Vijaya Prasad said that he would focus on the long-pending issues in the segment as already the party announced its top priority to implementation of 'Navaratnalu.' With the Navaratnalu, all the poor and low-income groups would be taken care. If, elected I would ensure each and every benefit of welfare programme be reached to beneficiary without the involvement of middlemen.

Meanwhile, the long-pending issues include parallel roads to Bus Rapid Transport System, main road dispute with the NSTL and Gopalapatnam Railway flyover. He promised to develop Gopalapatnam hospital by improving its bed strength to 100.

JSP candidate and senior CPI leader J V Satyanarayana Murthy said during the past five years under the TDP rule in State and BJP at the Centre, the constituency was totally neglected in implementation of development programmes.

A list of the constituency problems would be prepared and ensured to resolve them before the next elections. The JSP and CPI would attend all the people's problems on priority, he added. BJP candidate Chandrasekhar revealed that during the past five years, the BJP government at the Centre taken up several development works in the constituency. If, I elected I would be available 24/7 to the people and would attend all pending issues, he added.

Congress candidate Bhagath informed that AICC chief Rahul Gandhi would immediately ink his first sign according Special Category Status to the state if the Congress voted to power in the elections.

He said he would also make efforts for improving employment opportunities by giving training to rural unemployed youth. He also assured to give priority to local youth in job recruitments.
