Guntur: Home Minister Mekathoti Sucharita said here on Sunday that a criminal case was registered against LG Polymers Company in connection with the styrene gas leak which claimed 11 lives.
The government is exploring feasibility of shifting company from the present location.
Addressing the media here, she said the officials and local youth immediately saved lives of many people.
Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy had liberally announced ex-gratia to the kin of decreased and added that the government would take action against persons responsible for leakage of gas, she said.
Referring to Covid-19, she said that at present 10,000 tests were conducted per day which was highest in the country.
She said that the government reduced the number of liquor shops by 33 per cent and hiked liquor prices by 75 per cent as part of the move to impose total prohibition.
