According to police, S Siva complained on Thursday mid-night that his brother S Gandhi's five months old baby boy Santosh Kumar went missing. Based on the complaint, the police took up investigation.

When Shiva lodged missing case, the kidnappers telephoned him and demanded a ransom of Rs 5 lakh. He informed the matter to the police. The police officials, while searching for kidnappers, noticed a five-months old boy with a person moving suspiciously in Voppicherla village.

The police rescued the five months old boy from kidnappers. Guntur rural SP Ch Vijaya Rao on Friday handed over Santosh to his mother in Guntur city.
