Kadapa: A woman conductor who was infected with Covid-19, died of shock. The deceased was identified as K Ramanamma (42) of Devuni Kadapa village in Kadapa mandal.

The incident took place late on Monday. According to the sources, Ramanamma was residing in Dalitwada of Devuni Kadapa village and was working as conductor in Kadapa RTC depot.

It is said that she had been suffering from breathing problems, fever and dry cough for the past four days. Tests were conducted and the result came positive.

On Monday evening, her husband informed her about the test results upon which she fell unconscious due to shock.

She was shifted to the Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) where doctors declared her brought dead.

Meanwhile, 77 new Covid-19 positive cases were registered on Tuesday in the district — 37 in Kadapa city, 12 in Proddaturu, Six in Pulivendula , three each in Badvel, CK Dinne, Tonduru, two foreign returnees, and one each in Mydukuru, Rajampet, Lakkireddypalle, Veeraballe, Vempalle, Valluru, B. Koduru, Atluru, Jammalamadugu, Pendlimarri Yerraguntla.

Results of tests have to be announced related to 3,782 cases.

As many as 436 were discharged till date and nine people died due to coronavirus in the district, sources said.
