On the occasion of Saraswati Mata Vasantha Panchami, Minister of the Endowments Affairs Vellampalli Srinivas presented the students with bracelets, pens and prasadam. Indrakiladri Durgamata will appear as Sarasvati Devi for devotees as the day is the birth star of the goddess. The minister has visited the temple on Thursdayapproached Durga.
Later, the minister sais that he is going to hold a Sarasvati Yagam to acquire knowledge and welfare of the people. The students of the local schools have flocked to Durgagudi. "Arrangements have been made to ensure the blessings to the students from the goddess," the minister said.
The minister asserted that the Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is providing financial assistance to the families who send their wards to school under auspicious Amma Vodi scheme and also the quality food is offered to the students of government-run schools under Jaganna Gorumudda program.
