Tirupati: As part of implementing roads which were planned in the master plan, the Municipal Corporation of Tirupati (MCT) aims to construct 60 ft wide two-lane road at eastern part of city downside of existing Tirumala Bypass road.

As of now vehicles of pilgrims or locals have to enter the city via Ramanuja Circle only to reach Leelamahal circle in shortcut. MCT wants to take up new master plan 60 feet road from Karakambadi Road to Renigunta Road via Vinayakasagar.

MCT authorities issued land acquire notice to farmers who had agricultural lands in the area. In this regard, Commissioner issued notice to 10 farmers for acquiring land for road formation. The new road will clear the traffic chaos which has been pending for many years.

It will also reduce traffic congestion significantly on existing Tirumala Bypass Road. Municipal Commissioner PS Girisha gave instructions to officials to provide maximum benefits to farmers by issuing the Transferable Development Rights (TDR) bonds.

Similarly, another important master plan 60 feet road work is progressing in a brisk pace from Gurava Reddy Samadhulu to Renigunta Road Hero showroom via DBR Hospital. This road works may complete within 15 days. This new road will also ease traffic woes to residents to go to Kapilatheertham , Kadhi Colony, Leelamahal, Sathyanarayanapuram and other localities from Renigunta Road.

Commissioner PS Girisha said to The Hans India that in few places where the valuable lands are required for road formation our officers are trying to take farmers acceptance to acquire prime lands.

MCT is also planning to lay few more new link roads to give internal connectivity for the convenience of locals.
