Ongole: Grounding of units, disbursement of loans for SCs demanded
Madiga Sankshema Porata Samithi president Kommu Sujan Madiga said that they met the managing director of the SC Corporation, Harshavardhan on Thursday and requested him for release of loans and grounding of various units pending for a long time.

Sujan explained that he informed the MD that the government didn't sanction any funds in 2017-18 and 2018-19 to SC corporation, though it managed to sanction funds for other corporations.
He said that the government is using the SCs as a vote bank but neglecting their development. He said that there are about 10 lakh people from the SC community in Prakasam district, but there is no executive director for full time for the last 7 years at the SC Corporation in the district.
He requested the MD to appoint a full-time ED for SC Corporation in Prakasam district and ground the 50 transport vehicle units sanctioned but kept pending for no reason in the district.
