Jana Sena Party president and Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan has formed special ad hoc committees to prepare for the forthcoming local body elections.
The committees will operate across the state’s 25 parliamentary constituencies, with the exception of Vijayawada, and will focus on strengthening the party organisation, gathering information at grassroots level and assessing election readiness. They will work under Kalyan’s direct supervision.
Kalyan is expected to meet each parliamentary committee soon to offer guidance. The party has also decided to appoint four central committees: an Election Management and Steering Committee, an Alliance Coordination Committee, a Campaign Committee and a Treasury Committee.
