Kurnool: District Collector, G Veera Pandiyan has instructed the nodal officers and district officials to ensure exact information with regard to corona positive cases, deaths and discharges registered at containment clusters and this information should match with the Power Point Presentation which would be presented to central team. He convened a meeting with the nodal officials on PPT at Sunaina Auditorium in city on Saturday.

Addressing on the occasion, the Collector, said the officials should keep ready with relevant information to give correct replies when sought by the central team. They have to explain the steps taken to control corona virus. He said that the information should tally with the information to be provided while presenting PPT to Dr Madhumita and Dr Sanjay Kumar, All India Institute of Public Health Director who belong to central team. He said despite taking necessary steps to control the spread of corona virus it has reached to 466 cases since 2nd April and up to 4th May. Only four cases were reported on 2nd of April.

He directed the officials to set up a control room at every mandal and link it with control at district head quarter. They should take steps to shift the positive cases to Covid hospitals instead of home quarantine.

Several migrant labours from Mumbai, Ajmeer, Rajasthan, Punjab and Tamil Nadu are returning to the district and are showing negative reports, Veera Pandiyan said. But the officials have to be careful and have to shift them to 14 days quarantine. Under any circumstance they should not be allowed to go their homes directly.
