Rajamahendravaram: MP Margani Bhart Ram on Sunday said that Rs 18 lakh will be spent for road-cum-rail bridge repair works on river Godavari.
Inspecting works here, Bharat said the works would be completed in two days. He added the Municipal Corporation (RMC) and Roads & Buildings department officials have been entrusted with the maintenance of clearing the mud on the sides of road and rainwater every month. He said after a gap of 45 years, the restoration of railway track with necessary repairs has been undertaken.
He said underground drainage system costing Rs 416 crore taken up under Godavari river cleaning project would be operational soon. Former MLA R Prakasa Rao, Bommana Rajkumar and railway officials were present.
