District-level Thai Boxing Championship-2020 concludes
Rajamahendravaram: Rajanagaram MLA and Kapu Corporation chairman Jakkampudi Raja has said that everyone should spare some time for sports and games every day as its helps in maintaining sound health and good physique also.
He was the chief guest on the last day of district-level Thai Boxing Championship-2020 held at SKVT College here on Monday and distributed certificates to the participants. The tournament was held under the aegis of Marukurthi Durga Yadav.
Later, the MLA said boxing is an international game and congratulated the organisers for conducting the event. People could get recognition easily through sports and the games also help to get jobs easily under the sports quota.
The government is encouraging sports in various ways and appealed to the youth and students to spare some time for sports, he averred. As many as 95 players from 16 mandals participated in the boxing competitions. Association secretary B Madhu Kumar, coaches M Tulasi, M Sridevi and others were present.
