Resurvey of lands to be held in three phases in Chittoor
- The three-phase resurvey will be held in the 66 mandals

- The first phase will cover 2,13,748.29 acres in 205 villages
Chittoor: The survey of entire lands in Chittoor district under the `YSR Jagananna Shaswatha Bhuhakku - Bhurakshana Pathakam' will be carried out in three phases, said district collector Dr Narayan Bharat Gupta.
The ambitious programme covering a total of 27,02,075.99 acres will be formally launched in the district by Deputy Chief Minister K Narayana Swamy in Muttukurupalli in Gudipala mandal, the collector said adding that district in-charge minister Mekapati Gowtham Reddy, Panchayat Raj and Mines Minister P Ramachandra Reddy, Chittoor MP Reddappa and Local MLA Arani Srinivasulu and others will attend.
The three-phase resurvey will be held in the 66 mandals including 1,540 villages utilising an array of latest hybrid technology including drones, Continuous Operating Reference Stations (CORS) network, rovers, DGPS etc. as well as the convention methods like chains so as to ensure accuracy in the measurements of the lands of every farmer with complete details of the location, the collector said.
He said the first phases of resurvey expected to be completed by July 2021, would cover 2,13,748.29 acres in 205 villages while the second phase of survey in 647 villages is scheduled from August 2021 to March 2022, covering 12,31,970.81 acres and the third phase beginning from April 2022 would be completed in October 2022, covering 688 villages with a total lands of 12,56,356.89 acres.
The teams engaged in the survey only after through study of the lands and enquiry on the details like title holder etc will record the details and would inform the owner after the completion of the survey through issuing notice under 9 (2) section and if any objections, the land owner can approach the concerned Village Secretariat for settlement through mobile magistrate.
After the completion of survey a permanent title with a 14 digit unique number identity card will be issued to the land owner, he said and added that the entire process will be done on government cost and there will be no need for farmer to spend even a single rupee. The Collector sought the cooperation of farmers for the successful completion of massive exercise.
