Eluru: West Godavari District Collector R Muthyala Raju has directed the Revenue department officials to streamline particulars of farmers land records so that there are no differences between records of the government and those at the field level.

A workshop was organised for Tahsildars, RDO and Revenue department officials at the Collectorate in this regard on Thursday. An awareness was created among officials on how to address the petitions from farmers with regard to land issues by Joint Collector M Venugopal Reddy, another Joint Collector N Tej Bharat and Narsapuram Sub-Collector K S Vishwanadhan.

Speaking on the occasion, the District Collector said the officials of the Revenue department should have complete understanding of the land records. Even though the land was divided because of sale and distribution among members of family, there should be no change in the extent at field level.

The Collector warned the officials of stern action if they indulge in irregularities during streamlining of the records in any way. The revenue records should be corrected as per government rules so that no farmer would face problems with land issues in future, he directed.
