Kurnool: Altogether, 433 covid patients have been discharged in the district till Sunday. The total number of covid-19 positive cases reached to 611 including 3 new cases registered on Sunday. District Collector, G Veera Pandiyan said that there are only 159 active cases who are being treated at various Covid hospitals across the district. Only 19 deaths were reported till date, stated the collector.

Moreover, the deceased were above 70 years of age, stated Veera Pandiyan. On Sunday 28 patients were discharged after they have fully recovered. Two consecutive tests have been made and the reports have yielded negative results. All 28 patients have been arranged transportation to reach to their native places. Each patient was given Rs.2,000 following Covid-19 protocol. The discharged persons were advised to strictly stay in home quarantine for some more days, added the Collector.

The collector has also said that the three cases reported on Sunday were two from Kurnool and one from Adoni .

Some more migrants belonging to Bihar, Assam and Orrisa travelling by foot from Karnataka were shifted to shelter camp at Panchalingala village. As many as 57 persons were assured that they would be sent to their native places after Shramik trains return to Kurnool.
