The Sports Day of SVIMS was held in a grand manner on Sunday at the new sports field. The event was part of SVIMS Unifest 2020 which is being held as part of its 27th anniversary to be celebrated on February 26. SVIMS Director-cum-Vice-Chancellor Dr B Vengamma and Chief Vigilance and Security Officer of TTD Gopinath Jetti have lit the fire, unfurled the sports flag to mark the inauguration.

The event was part of SVIMS Unifest 2020 which is being held as part of its 27th anniversary to be celebrated on February 26. SVIMS Director-cum-Vice-Chancellor Dr B Vengamma and Chief Vigilance and Security Officer of TTD Gopinath Jetti have lit the fire, unfurled the sports flag to mark the inauguration.

Speaking on the occasion, the Director said that various programmes were being held for the past two months as part of the Institute's 27th anniversary celebrations. She added that sports and physical exercises have inseparable relation with human life, which helps in enhancing physical and mental happiness.

Gopinath Jetti observed that those in medical and police professions have to face severe stress and they have to work without time constraints. Sports help in a big way to get rid of this problem. He presented the medal to the winners team in men's discus throw competition while the women team winners received the medals from Director Dr Vengamma.

Dean Dr M Hanumantha Rao, Registrar Dr Sreedhar Babu, Sri Padmavati Medical College for Women Principal Dr Saran B Singh, College of Phyisotherapy Principal Dr Madhavi, Nursing College Principal Dr Sudha Rani and others participated.
