Toll plaza staff violate rules
Tirupati- Chennai highway Vadmalapeta toll plaza staff are violating the Ministry of Road Transport, Government of India exemption rules for advocates and other officially listed exemption sections.
Tirupati: Tirupati- Chennai highway Vadmalapeta toll plaza staff are violating the Ministry of Road Transport, Government of India exemption rules for advocates and other officially listed exemption sections.
On Friday, when an advocate Katari Mahesh from Tirupati was coming from Tiruttani, has showed his advocate identity and toll collecting exemption order which was issued by the Ministry of Road Transport. But the Vadamalapeta toll staff said that they don't know about the order and collected toll fee for the advocate car. Interestingly the same staff had given toll fee exemption to same advocate car when he was going to towards Tiruttani on the same day morning.
The advocate Mahesh speaking to The Hans India reporter, told that " though I have shown the order copy of Ministry of Road transport, government of India, they did not give the toll fee exemption". On the basis of toll receipt along with GO I will file a case in district consumer forum, against the Transtroy Company which is collecting the toll fee against the government rules.
