Vijayawada: Protesting against the Disha incident, about 1,500 students participated in a rally and formed a human chain at Singhnagar here on Tuesday. The event was organised by the leaders of Student Federation of India (SFI), Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI) and CITU.

Speaking on the occasion, DYFI district secretary Praveen said with the brutal attacks and murder of women in recent times in the Telugu states made it clear that there is no security for women and even for toddlers.

Even after a massive revolt from the all sects of people on the recent brutal attacks the government has to take measures to strengthen law and punish the culprits so that the punishment would be an eye opener to everyone in society.

K Swarupa Rani, K Sridevi, K Sarija, G Jhansi, Sk Nizamuddin, Durga Prasad, Suryalatha, Narendra, Akhil and other student organisation leaders were present.
