Vijayawada : With speculations rife that the YSRCP would go in for early polls, perhaps in December 2023 to contain the damage it may suffer due to the anti-incumbency factor, the battle lines are being clearly drawn.

Pulling curtains down on the doubts being raised on social media by certain groups that Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan was still unclear about the alliances and that he may like to continue to go with BJP unless the TDP assures him of power sharing between the two parties, Pawan said that such campaigners are in for disappointment. He said if he had won over 30 seats out of 137 contested in 2019 polls, he would have had the power to bargain. But at the same time, they would be seeking seats based on their strength.

He added that he was aware that neither the BJP nor the TDP would make him the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh and he had to become CM on his own just as he became a superstar based on his performance.

He alleged the YSRCP had killed the rural administration and neglected the problems of the farmers. He said Jana Sena would convene a sarpanches meeting in the state.

Jana Sena has good support in pockets of East and West Godavari districts, Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Krishna and Guntur district. He said when he held talks with TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu on May 3 all such issues were discussed. Reiterating that he will not allow anti-establishment votes to get split, he said left and right-wing parties may not like to come together on one platform, but he does not have such reservations.

Asked if BJP would also join them, he said during his Delhi visit he met the national president of BJP JP Nadda and other leaders and explained in detail to them about the situation in the state and his intention to go with TDP. It is now for them to make a decision. Pawan said that he would be in AP from June and would take up an intensive campaign to defeat YSRCP.
