Vijayawada: "It is the first time in my life time spending days without any live entertainments like music, dance and drama for four months," said veteran stage artiste Gopi Naidu from Pedakakani of Guntur district.

He said that he never came across this type of pandemic during his five decades of his theatre journey. Many artistes and technicians are facing a lot of problems during this period. He also said even the film industry is also facing the same problem but the association is safeguarding the interest of the artistes and technicians. Gopi felt that these theatre artistes also should have a welfare organization like "MAA" to face this sort of situation.

Naidu said that some of the US-based organizations are trying to expose their talent even in these hard days duly utilizing the new techniques. Since there is no information about the end of this COVID-19, he felt that the theatre also should go for using technology to entertain the audience for the livelihood of the theatre artistes. He also said that some of the likeminded organizers were contacted to do something for the survival of theatre and theatre artistes.
