VIJAYAWADA: Demonstrating their commitment to democracy, several young voters working in Hyderabad returned to their native villages in NTR district on Thursday to exercise their franchise in the MPTC and ZPTC elections.

Young women from Ananthavaram village of Pondugala in Mylavaram mandal were among those who travelled from Hyderabad to cast their votes at their respective polling stations.

Speaking on the occasion, the young voters said that exercising the right to vote was both a privilege and a responsibility of every citizen. They stressed that every vote plays an important role in protecting democracy and strengthening the democratic system.

Expressing happiness over being able to cast their votes despite working far away from their hometowns, they said that distance and professional commitments should not prevent citizens from fulfilling their electoral responsibilities. They urged other young voters to come forward and participate actively in the electoral process.

Meanwhile, AP State Election Commissioner Anil Chandra Punetha conducted inspections at polling stations in Pathapadu of Vijayawada Rural and reviewed the polling arrangements and voting trends in the district. He monitored the polling process and assessed the facilities provided to voters.
