redBus rolls out carpool service in Hyderabad
redBus, an online bus ticketing platform on Monday announced the launch of rPool, an advanced carpooling service for office professionals in Hyderabad.
Hyderabad: redBus, an online bus ticketing platform on Monday announced the launch of rPool, an advanced carpooling service for office professionals in Hyderabad.
Available in the redBus mobile app, the service facilitates office commuters to avail and offer rides in their personal cars while commuting between home and their workplace. The service has also
been launched in Bengaluru and Pune.
redBus said that the algorithm to match travellers looking to carpool through their service ensures that the ride givers do not have to deviate or detour from their work route and ride takers get to travel the maximum distance of their commute as a part of the shared ride.
The features of rPool include verified profiles, incentives in the form of reward points for ride givers, and the first 500 ride givers will not be charged any commission for the first five years.
Briefing about the service, Prakash Sangam, CEO, redBus, said: "rPool is a systematic solution not only to decongest roads, but also offer commuters, a viable option that helps them save fuel and time."
