Thalapathy Vijay is basking in the success of his recent release Bigil, which was a sports drama. The movie opened to fantastic reviews and also did exceptionally well at the box office. The actor is now busy with his next with Lokesh Kanagarajan. The film is titled Master and the makers are going all out to take it up a notch higher when compared to Vijay's previous movies.
However, Vijay received a bit of a shock when the IT sleuths came knocking on his doors. And to make matters worse, it was not at his house they landed but on the sets of his upcoming movie. He was asked to accompany them to his Chennai residence for further questioning.
We already told you that a huge set had been erected at the Neyveli coal mine to shoot Master. So when Income Tax officials suddenly showed up on the sets, Vijay was shellshocked. He was later escorted to his house for grilling.
So what was the Income Tax visit to Vijay's Master sets all about? Well, we hear that the authorities have found over 30 crore worth properties owned by Anbu Cheliyan who happens to be a financer. Apparently, they have even found a link between the financer and the actor that led to some unaccounted transactions between the duo.
Interestingly, AGS Entertainment was financed by Anbu Cheliyan. So now, not only the transactions between Vijay and Anbu is under scanner but also the IT sleuths, we hear, are keen to how much did Vijay really get paid for his last release Bigil.
