Gunasekhar ropes Rudhramadevi for Shakuntalam

Gunasekhar is one of the star directors in the Telugu film industry. But, he has been inactive in films for quite some time. It's been six years that he made a film. Gunasekhar's last film was Rudhramadevi that released in 2015. Now, the director is coming up with an interesting film Shakuntalam. Samantha plays the leading lady in the film, in the titular role.

Interestingly, there are reports that another heroine will also take part in the film. If the reports are true, the film will also feature Anushka Shetty in a crucial role. Gunasekhar has penned a special role for Anushka in the film and she will also be a part of the project.

The film unit is yet to finalize the male lead for the film and the talks are going on, with multiple actors. The complete details about the project will come out soon.
