‘Jailer 2’ trailer released; Rajinikanth returns in larger than life format
The much-anticipated trailer for the sequel to ‘Jailer’ has been released in the Telugu version. Superstar Rajinikanth plays the central character Muthuvel Pandian, a larger than life prison warder in the film directed by Nelson Dilipkumar. The trailer gives away that the sequel will be a bigger version of the original with enhanced action, comedy and entertainment quotient.
It shows that while a fresh conflict is in the offing, the comedy continues to be in the breezy offbeat style of the director. Rajinikanth is in full command of his powers as he displays the same bravado and comic timing that made the first film a blockbuster. The expansion of the universe also indicates that the second film has bigger plans for the hero than the first.
The film also stars S.J. Suryah, Vidya Balan, Shivarajkumar, Mohanlal, Ramya Krishnan, Yogi Babu, Suraj Venjaramoodu and Mirnaa along with the superstar in crucial roles.
Anirudh Ravichander has composed the music. Vijay Kartik Kannan has handled cinematography and R. Nirmal has edited. It is produced by Kalanithi Maran of Sun Pictures and is ready for a global theatrical release. In Telugu states it is being presented by Sithara Entertainments in the Telugu version in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
The film is touted to be big on action with a unique mix of comedy and stars Rajinikanth and Nelson Dilipkumar who are coming together for the second time after Jailer. ‘Jailer 2’ will release in theatres on 15th October.
