Ravi asks Umesh Gupta to wait?

Seasoned star Ravi Teja is reluctant to fall for big names these days. He has reportedly put a film to be produced by Umesh Gupta, who owns renowned music company Aditya Music, on hold.

"He asked Umesh to come up with a powerful script since he doesn't want to work in crass commercial movies," says an industry source. "Although Ravi Teja is willing to join hands with Umesh Gupta, because he is an old friend, but without a right script, it may take more time," the source adds.

Actually, Umesh Gupta who is the uncrowned king in audio business stepped into film production by releasing the Telugu version of Karthi's cop story 'Khaki' and tasted success. Now wants to produce more Telugu films with big stars to expand his brand image.

"For the last twenty years, Umesh bought the audio rights of all top star films in Telugu and established Aditya Music as numero uno brand. Similarly, as a producer he intends to dish out star-studded movies to sustain his brand value," the source concludes.

On the other hand, Ravi Teja is not ready to pocket fancy pay cheques anymore and looking to consolidate his position by doing films with 'novel content' that would justify his larger-than-life image.
