Yashika Arora, founder of Paw Petisserie, says that her pet Cristo’s entry into her life made her venture into giving baked goods for dogs

Cristo entry into Yashika Arora’s life made her start Paw Petisserie. She decided to venture into creating baked goods for dogs to ensure her pooch Cristo enjoys only the best treats, which escalated into making sure these high quality goodies are enjoyed by as many pooches as possible!

At Paw Petisserie, they make sure that pets get to eat some wonderful items, keeping in mind their health by using only dog-safe and pet-safe ingredients. They are always experimenting in kitchen and add new goodies to our menu regularly. Their handcrafted cakes, cupcakes, treats are a perfect blend of love and goodness made from real ingredients.

Can you tell us about yourself and how you started your entrepreneurial journey?

I studied User Experience Design. Starting a pet bakery was never the plan but things changed after my pet, Cristo came into my life. Keeping in mind that he only eats the best and the safest treats made me start with Paw Petisserie. Being passionate about baking also made things easier and helped me start with Paw Petisserie. Cristo inspired me to bake goodies for him which are completely safe and free of all chemicals and artificial preservatives which escalated into catering to other pets as well.

Tell us about your family background and how it has influenced your entrepreneurial journey?

Coming from a business family was always intrigued to handle the family business or start something of my own instead of doing a job. Looking at my father run a business and go see him handle so many people at once definitely pushed me and inspired me and made me believe in myself too.

Can you tell us more about the products you make at Paw Petisserie, and what makes them unique compared to other pet food brands?

We make cakes, cupcakes, ice creams, treats and other bakery items like pieces of bread, brownies, donuts for pets. The idea behind this was to make everything that we, humans eat with pet-friendly ingredients for our pets to enjoy. We use all organic ingredients, everything in our menu is made without gluten, sugar, salt, additives, or preservatives. We also do not use artificial flavours or colours. All the colours that you see on our cakes and cupcakes are made with fruits and vegetables.

What Challenges you faced while starting and running your business, and how did you overcome them?

We face challenges every day in some way or the other. As I started this venture, the biggest challenge for me was reaching out to people and the right kind of people. This took a lot of time and effort and we are still trying our best to reach out to as many customers as we can and provide them with the best treats!

Can you tell us about any upcoming products or projects you have planned for Paw Petisserie?

We recently launched some veg treats for pets and are also looking to expand the menu with a lot of new products that are made in a normal bakery but not in a pet bakery. We are also planning to start with something offline for our lovely customers to come and choose and the products on their own at an offline outlet for a smoother process.

What are your future plans for Paw Petisserie, and where do you see the business in the next five years?

Paw Petisserie is equipped to expand and open more outlets, not just in the city but also across the country. We are looking forward to opening an offline bakery and a cafe to invite all pets with their owners to have a relaxing and joyful time.

Any advice you have for other entrepreneurs who are just starting on their journey?

Just to be patient and persistent. Put in all the hard work smartly and your efforts will pay off at the right time.
