Relationship with God
What kind of relationship you have with God. Some of us see him as an almighty and powerful, so we fear from him. Some see him as a father even some see as a friend. So they love him.

There are two kinds of people in this world: God fearing people and God loving people. What kind of person you are? Let us see:
God fearing people
Unfortunately, most of us fall into this category. We do not do it consciously, but we fear God. We fear that if we do not please god, he will spoil our life. God can, but why he will do it. It is our karma. "As you sow, so shall you reap"
Why god will do something bad for those who do well? Why we need to fear?
I always see people who passing by a spiritual place. They stop for a while and pray to God. Many of them do it because of their faith in God. They ask for blessings from God, which I believe is good.
However, many people do this just because they fear. They fear that if I do not do it, God will punish me. I believe that is not true. God would never want us to remember because of fear, but because of love. A relationship full of fear is never a healthy relationship.
Sometimes we even do business with God. I have heard people, "God, just get me that brand new car by lottery, I will donate that much money". Oh God, we even give bribe to you. You will find many students saying, "God, just help me pass the math exam and I will do that for you".
Religions have their customs and they have their values. But, do you think that it is right to beg for the things to god. Should we offer/donate something to God with that intention? No.
Why we should not fear God
Why we need to fear from him? He never wants us to be afraid of him. If we see God as our father, do we need to fear from our father? What kind of relationship will be there if a father threatens his son? It will never last long.
"For prayer is nothing else than being on terms of friendship with God." ~ Saint Teresa of Avila If you do the right things, you should not be feared God. Instead, we must love and respect God. He himself is an ocean of love.
