National Silk Expo Brings Handloom Creations to Banjara Hills
Socialite Sushila Bokadia inaugurated the nine-day National Silk Expo 2026 at Kalinga Cultural Centre, Banjara Hills.
Organised by Jagdishwar Hastkala, the exhibition brings together a wide range of silk and cotton sarees, handloom products and handcrafted creations from weavers across the country.
The expo, on till September 13, aims to give artisans a direct platform to showcase and sell their work. Sushila Bokadia said such exhibitions offer women an opportunity to discover unique handloom collections under one roof.
Organiser Jayesh Kumar said the initiative focuses on supporting weavers by connecting them directly with customers, eliminating middlemen and creating better markets for traditional handloom products.
