CARE Hospitals conducts life-saving CPR workshop
Hyderabad: Recognising the critical role of timely intervention during sudden cardiac arrest, CARE Hospitals Hitech City conducted a Basic Life Support training programme for employees of the Insurance Information Bureau of India at its Gachibowli office on Monday. Emphasising workplace emergency preparedness, around 100 employees participated in the session, which featured hands-on cardiopulmonary resuscitation demonstrations and guidance on identifying cardiac emergencies. Participants individually practised CPR techniques on training mannequins under professional medical supervision to gain practical response skills.
The workplace health initiative assumes heightened significance following a recent unfortunate cardiac emergency in a corporate environment, reinforcing the necessity for staff members to possess foundational emergency response skills. Medical experts highlighted that prompt recognition of cardiac arrest, immediate activation of emergency services, and early CPR initiation drastically improve survival odds.
IIBI Chief Executive Officer Venkat Changavalli, Life and Health Chief Business Officer Mukund Kulkarni, and Aster DM Quality Care Head of Insurance Presenjit Ray attended the event and presented BLS certificates to participating staff. The programme reflects a shared commitment between IIBI and CARE Hospitals to establish safer work environments while promoting emergency response training across corporate sectors. Medical leaders urged corporate organisations statewide to integrate regular emergency response workshops into employee safety frameworks to build resilient workplaces.
