Khanapur: Launchinga scathing attack on Congress party for staging protests across the country against the voter deletions, Union Minister Bandi Sanjay Kumar said that

people of Italian origin were dreaming of becoming Prime Minister of India but would never achieve that goal.

The BJP organised a Maha Padayatra in Nirmal district headquarters under the slogan of protecting democracy and driving away anarchy. The saffron party leaders alleged that opposition parties were conspiring against the Constitution and protesting what BJP termed as false propaganda by them.

Bandi Sanjay asked why objections were being raised against removing duplicate or deceased voters from electoral rolls. Targeting Rahul Gandhi, Bandi Sanjay asked why the Congress had not opposed similar exercises during the tenures of his great-grandfather, grandmother, and father. He claimed Rahul Gandhi lacked proper understanding of the issue and asserted that only Indian citizens decide who becomes Prime Minister, MP, or MLA.

He warned that nobody from countries such as Bangladesh or Pakistan could determine India’s Prime Minister or Chief Minister. He urged party workers to oppose the Congress for resisting the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) and the National Register of Citizens (NRC).

Recalling a previous march in Hyderabad in support of the issue, he said lakhs of people had participated and expressed solidarity.

Bandi Sanjay asserted that Telangana would increasingly support the saffron flag and expressed confidence that the BJP would come to power in the state under the leadership of Ramachandra Rao. He alleged that people in the State were suffering due to shortages of electricity and water, delays in pensions, lack of jobs for youth, and hardships faced by women and other sections of society.

‘Revanth carries bags to Delhi’

Speaking on the occasion, Nirmal MLA Aleti Maheshwar Reddy alleged that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy was carrying “bags” to Delhi using the mandate given by Telangana voters and was making weekly trips to protect his position. He further charged that the Congress government under Revanth Reddy had failed to fulfill its six electoral guarantees.

The march, which began from Shanti Nagar Chowrasta, proceeded to Vivekananda Chowk and covered a distance of about two kilometers.

The march was led by BJP MLA Aleti Maheshwar Reddy and was attended by BJP national secretary and Telangana affairs in-charge Sunil Bansal, Union Minister Bandi Sanjay Kumar, national leaders Abhay Patil and Rekha Sharma, and BJP state president Ramachandra Rao.

A large number of BJP workers from the Nirmal, Mudhol, and Khanapur constituencies participated in the march. Thanking the youth, women, students, and farmers who participated in the march despite the rain, Aleti expressed gratitude for their support.

He stated that the large turnout in the Maha Padayatra demonstrated the people’s support for the protection of democracy.
