The Telangana Government has of late started giving extension of service to the retirees. As recently as May third week, (he was due to retire on May 31) the Government issued a GO extending the services of a lecturer in Chemistry from a Govt. Polytechnic not to speak of some more employees from other departments too.
A government which is striving to be honest and straight forward should desist from doing favours to employees who are close to the powers that be as such acts would bring bad name and justifiable reason for the critics to highlight avoidable pinpricks.
It is better if Govt. withdraws all such GOs where extensions have been given without any proper justification.
It is understandable if Govt. extends services of such officers whose services are inevitable like the Chief Secretary, DGP, Chief Engineer but definitely not those who do not come under such essential service categories.
