Amaravati: Andhra Pradesh Twenty Points Programme Chairman Lanka Dinakar on Wednesday said Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 25 years in public governance represented a shift from merely announcing welfare schemes to building systems for financial inclusion, basic services and last-mile delivery.
He cited the scale of Jan Dhan and MUDRA as key indicators. As of September 2, 2026, 59.21 crore Jan Dhan accounts had been opened with deposits exceeding Rs 3.17 lakh crore, while 59.14 crore MUDRA loans worth more than Rs 41.71 lakh crore had been sanctioned by June 26.
Dinakar also highlighted the expansion of basic services. Jal Jeevan Mission, he said, had increased rural household tap-water coverage from 3.23 crore households in 2019 to about 15.82 crore by March 2026. More than 4.21 crore houses had been completed under PMAY, while over 10.57 crore LPG connections had been provided under Ujjwala.
On infrastructure, he pointed to national highways increasing from 91,287 km in 2014 to about 1,46,572 km by March 2026, alongside near-complete railway electrification and expansion of operational airports.
