Anantapur: Doctors at KIMS Saveera Hospitals successfully treated a 90-year-old heart attack survivor with chronic kidney disease using an emergency angioplasty.
Facing the challenge of protecting impaired kidneys while restoring blood flow, cardiologists Dr Pervez Nawaz and Dr Sandeep Moode used minimal contrast dye during stent placement.
Supported by nephrologists Dr Badarinath and Dr Sameer John, the multidisciplinary team ensured a safe procedure.
The patient recovered well and was discharged in stable condition.
Specialists emphasized that timely medical attention during severe chest pain is crucial for high-risk elderly patients.
