Bengaluru: A restaurant owner in Bengaluru was allegedly attacked by a group of youngsters for objecting to their drinking and littering in public in KR Puram locality.

The victim is Devendra (33) of TC Palya, who runs a restaurant, Patiala Tandoor. The incident took place a week ago, but came to light on Saturday.

Devendra said in his statement to police that he was feeding his two pet dogs and some strays outside his house when he saw the youths consuming liquor and littering the place. He told them not to litter and drink in public.

They called him and abused him. When Devendra tried to walk away, one of them pulled him by his hair, dragged him on the road while another youth punched him. The restaurant owner also alleged that one of the persons brought some wooden logs from a nearby construction site and started assaulting him with them, while another attempted to attack him with a dagger.
