Price rise, poor governance will bring down TVK govt: Dhinakaran
In Short
Referring to the government’s early months in office, he claimed people were already realising the consequences of voting for cinematic appeal over administrative ability.

Chennai: AMMK general secretary T T V Dhinakaran on Tuesday termed the ruling TVK government in Tamil Nadu a “reel culture” regime and alleged that it was heading for collapse because of “administrative failures, rising prices and a worsening law and order situation.” Speaking to reporters after a courtesy call on Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar at Lok Bhavan to convey Deepavali greetings, he said the government was driven by cinematic rhetoric, not governance. He accused the government of failing to curb prices of essential commodities, saying rice and lentil prices had shot up, hitting poor and middle-class families.
Referring to the government’s early months in office, he claimed people were already realising the consequences of voting for cinematic appeal over administrative ability. He alleged that investments were bypassing Tamil Nadu because of a lack of administrative focus, leaving the state drifting towards economic and social decline. Dhinakaran said the people, who were “waking up to the realities” of the administration, would bring down the government’s hubris and theatrical style of governance.
