Alwal bridge has no streetlights
The bridge which connects Alwal Main Road and Alwal Rythu Bazaar is posing a threat.
Alwal: The bridge which connects Alwal Main Road and Alwal Rythu Bazaar is posing a threat. The busy stretch doesn't have streetlights. It is becoming dangerous as vehicles often meet with accidents. The bridge is wide but does not have a proper retaining wall. There are chances of speeding vehicles losing balance and falling off from the bridge.
The main reason for accidents is the speeding of vehicles and overtaking which often triggers traffic snarls and also leads to accidents. Rythu Bazaar market which is located just beside the bridge is a witness to many accidents.
A vendor selling fruits in the market says, "The main reasons for accidents are speed and, secondly, the condition of road – it is dangerous and there is no proper street lights on the bridge." One of customers said, "I was a witness to an accident in which a bike met with an accident and the man fell in the market, as there is no proper outer wall."
