Hyderabad: State BJP President N Ramachander Rao strongly condemned the " vote chori” slogan of the Congress party and said that while the "brain of Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy was stolen, Rahul Gandhi committed “ Name chori “ by stealing the name of the Gandhi’s family.
He addressed a public meeting held after the Maha Padyatra as part of the BJP’s nationwide campaign of ‘Loktantra Bachao, Arajakta Hatao’ (Save Democracy, End Anarchy) to push back against the Opposition INDIA bloc’s ‘vote chori’ campaign and allegations regarding the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in Nirmal on Tuesday,
The BJP state chief said Congress has become synonymous with corruption, with Rs 12 lakh crore in public money looted during its tenure. Taking strong exception to Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy's statements against Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the BJP and the Centre, he said that “Revanth Reddy’s brain seems to have been stolen. On the other hand, Congress MP and Leader of the Opposition (LoP) in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi has committed ‘name chori’ by stealing the Gandhi family's name, adding, “both conspired to loot the country.”
Rao emphasised that the NDA government led by Narendra Modi is providing an honest, patriotic, and clean administration without a single stain of corruption.
Launching a scathing attack on the Congress government in the State and CM Revanth Reddy’s attitude, he slammed CM Revanth Reddy for leavingt farmers to their plight amidst of water and electricity crisis and famers committing suicides but travelling to Delhi to run false narratives and political dramas of "vote chori."
He urged everyone to shun the anti-people Congress rule in the state and further strengthen the BJP in every single village.
Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar said Rahul Gandhi has no understanding of SIR. He said the citizens of this country alone decide the prime minister, MPs and MLAs. He ridiculed the idea that people of Italian descent are dreaming of becoming the country's prime minister.
