Bank of Baroda to hold Kisan Divas on Oct 16
Bank of Baroda General Manager Srinivas on Monday said that the bank would organise ‘Kisan Divas’ on October 16 to help farmers in both the Telugu states. He informed said that BOB is known for its services to farmers and agriculture sector.
Hyderabad: Bank of Baroda General Manager Srinivas on Monday said that the bank would organise 'Kisan Divas' on October 16 to help farmers in both the Telugu states. He informed said that BOB is known for its services to farmers and agriculture sector.
To help farmers in both Telugu states, 486 branches in Telugu states would organise the Kisan Divas Day and extend agriculture and other loans to farmers on the day, he said. Of 480 branches in AP and TS, 228 branches are located in rural and semi urban locations and cater primarily to farmers, he added
This initiative is expected to augment the government's efforts to increase the farmer's income and double it by 2022, he said, adding that "By engaging more with the farming community during the Pakhwada, we want to increase their knowledge levels on the latest farming trends and improve their awareness on BoB products."
The BoB has as many as 11 products (Baroda Kisan Credit Card (BKCC), SHGs/JLGs, Gold Loan, allied agriculture activities, farm mechanization, FPO/FPCs, Food & Agro processing Units etc. along with other products for SME, Retail Banking, Liability & Wealth Management products) focused on the farming community at friendly terms, and the Pakhwada initiative is aimed at encouraging them to use these products, he said. Satyanarayana Gidugu, Deputy Zonal Head and members participated.
