Hyderabad: BJP Legislature Party Leader Aleti Maheshwar Reddy stated on Tuesday that the party fight against Section 22A irregularities has forced the Chief Minister and ministers to publicly address the issue. Addressing the media in Hyderabad, Maheshwar Reddy claimed that the BJP possesses detailed evidence regarding approximately 200 case studies of land seizures and financial scams across Telangana. He announced that he will deliver a comprehensive presentation detailing 10 to 15 key case studies on October 10, which will mark the official launch of the second phase of the BJP campaign against land grabbing and corruption.

Maheshwar Reddy asserted that while both Congress and BRS accuse each other of corruption, the revelations exposed publicly represent merely one per cent of the total corruption taking place on an epic scale. He noted that he had previously highlighted irregularities committed under the Section 22A Prohibited List during Assembly proceedings, complete with supporting evidence. Although the Revenue Minister admitted in the Assembly that irregularities had occurred regarding 23 lakh acres and 13,000 transactions, the BJLP leader criticized the government for failing to table full details and the forensic report before the House.

Emphasizing that issuing administrative memos does not provide a permanent solution, Maheshwar Reddy stated that the BJP agitation will continue until the 22A issue is fully resolved. He claimed that complaints regarding illegal land seizures, public intimidation, and demands for a 30 per cent commission continue to pour in from across the state. To substantiate his claims, he cited a case involving 286 acres in Survey Number 1007 at Kukatpally, valued at approximately Rs 50,000 crore, where housing society members sought his intervention. He added that he recently extended solidarity to the affected victims alongside Malkajgiri MP Etela Rajender.
