CPI MLA sees ‘Bouncers Raj’ prevailing across TG

Hyderabad: CPI legislator Kunamneni Sambasiva Rao on Wednesday alleged that a Bouncers Raj was prevailing in Telangana, with private bouncers deployed to threaten opponents in land disputes.

Participating in a short discussion on Section 22A lands in the Assembly, Sambasiva Rao alleged real estate businessmen were using bouncers to intimidate rivals at disputed sites. Questioning police inaction over private security gundagiri, he warned that failing to restrain such illegal intimidation amounts to a administrative failure. Sambasiva Rao demanded the government disclose details of private and Bhoodan lands while making forensic land audit findings public. He stated authorities must publish details regarding nearly three lakh acres prohibited under Section 22A. Highlighting citizen grievances caused by errors in the Dharani land portal, the legislator urged complete transparency regarding land titles.

He emphasized that resolving land record discrepancies remains crucial to protecting genuine property owners. Urging prompt action, Sambasiva Rao insisted the government end bouncer intimidation, rectify Dharani portal errors, and safeguard vulnerable landholders from organized real estate pressure across the state.
