Eco warriors hold tree plantation event
The Ecological Club of College of Defence Management carried out tree plantation in the college campus and at residential areas.
Sainikpuri: The Ecological Club of College of Defence Management carried out tree plantation in the college campus and at residential areas. An extension of the existing Herbal Garden was also inaugurated and thrown open with an additional new plant species and herbs.
According to senior officers, the tree plantation drive was done as a prelude to the Higher Defense Management Course. The faculty members and participant officers, along with their children, took part in the tree plantation. Ever since the ecological club was formed, the children of the officers have been taking part actively in the club activities.
They reviewed of the activities of the club of the last one year, with an aim to increase the awareness amongst the young ecological warriors and to inculcate environment friendly spirit. The children have also expressed their opinion on the conservation of environment and pledged to safeguard the environment in years to come.
Major General Sandeep Sharma, Commandant, CDM, Secunderabad, addressed all the eco-warriors, as the members are called and applauded for their efforts at the club towards the conservation of environment.
