Electors marked ASDD: ECI gives ‘one more opportunity’ to enrol
In Short
The ECI instructs the Telangana CEO to give ASDD-category electors one last opportunity until November 21, 2026, to include their names in the final voter list.

ECI gives ‘one more opportunity’ to enrol
Hyderabad: The Election Commission of India (ECI) has asked the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) in Telangana to provide “one more opportunity” to the electors who could not be included in the draft list on account of being marked under ASDD (absent/shifted/dead/duplicate) category to get their names included in the final list.
Following instructions from the ECI, Telangana CEO C Sudharsan Reddy on Friday issued orders providing one more opportunity to the electors whose names could not be included in the draft electoral roll published on August 17, 2026, on account of being marked them in ASDD category to get their names included in the final electoral rolls and issued certain guidelines accordingly.
The CEO said that the entire process would be completed by November 21, 2026 in all respects. Therefore, the electors whose names could not be included in the draft electoral rolls, on account of being marked them in ASDD category are given one more opportunity and are requested to utilise this opportunity and get their names included in final electoral rolls.
For any assistance, such electors can contact their Booth Level Officer (BLOs) or call toll-free number 1950. Earlier in the day, the ECI had asked the CEOs of Delhi, Maharashtra, Haryana, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Nagaland to provide the missing voters once more chance.
