Even Shishupala was punished after 100 offences: CM Revanth Reddy

Hyderabad: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy asserted in the Legislative Assembly on Wednesday that even Shishupala was punished only after committing 100 offences, declaring that wrongdoers inevitably face consequences. Revanth said the opposition tried to level baseless allegations against the government regarding Section 22-A lands, but the administration is bringing all facts to light. Promising to reveal land record details in Sangareddy, he stated that future generations would not forgive forgiving such offenders. Consequently, the Chief Minister announced recommending a Special Enquiry Team probe into alleged land irregularities, while constituting a public committee to resolve citizens' property grievances.

Revanth stated history never forgives certain individuals, emphasizing that discussing past mistakes is essential for future rectification. He alleged the opposition walked out to evade discussions on previous regime wrongdoings, adding that some individuals even performed occult rituals hoping for power shortages to derail Assembly debates. Revanth alleged the Dharani portal was systematically misused to acquire title deeds for Bhoodan lands. He claimed 106 acres of forest land were handed to Gandra, noting the Supreme Court reprimanded the Collector regarding the matter. In Sircilla, he alleged 8000 acres of assigned land were transferred, of which 2000 acres were recovered after Sandeep Jha became Collector.

Revanth further alleged 2647 acres adjacent to the airport were transferred to My Home group chairman Jupally Rameswar Rao, questioning such plunder of public wealth. Citing Kapra land classified as evacuee property and reported in Namasthe Telangana, he alleged Bhoodan lands in Mellacheruvu were subsequently taken over through Dharani. He also alleged My Home is utilizing 113 acres for a cement factory, questioning whether assigned and Waqf lands could be appropriated in this manner. Revanth alleged the previous regime facilitated the takeover of valuable lands worth lakhs of crores wherever available across Telangana.
