Ganesh idol immersion competed peacefully, says Hyderabad CP

Hyderabad commissioner of police on Saturday said that the Ganesh immersion procession in the four commissionerates of Hyderabad was conducted successfully. He thanked all the departmental officials who helped in conducting the event, including the IPS Officers and Home Guards. In an interview with media persons at Hyderabad on Saturday, the CP informed that most of the processions were held within the limits of the Hyderabad Commissionerate

CP Sajjanar said that they had deployed staff from various districts of Telangana to provide security during the celebration of Ganesh immersion festival in Hyderabad. He informed that the immersion had been carried out successfully without any problems. He confirmed that the idols of Khairatabad and Balapur Vinayaka were successfully immersed as per the schedule and thanked the Bhagyanagar Utsav Samithi. He added that many people thronged the idol in large numbers and there were more than 30 lakh devotees at Khairatabad Ganesh and 15 lakh devotees at Balapur deity.

Police worked without sleep for 48 hours...

CP Sajjanar acknowledged that some shortcomings were identified during the Vinayaka processions and assured that these would be rectified in the future. He emphasized a commitment to providing better services in the days to come. It was stated that police officials maintained security arrangements without sleep. Officials noted that the use of colored paper during the procession caused significant inconvenience and announced that measures would be taken to ban it in the future. They also pointed out that the indiscriminate dumping of garbage in areas where food was being distributed had become a major nuisance. A warning was issued that action would be taken against individuals who caused trouble while under the influence of alcohol during the procession. CP Sajjanar mentioned that police personnel worked for 48 hours without sleep to ensure the smooth conduct of the event.
