In the view of election for Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC), all the wine shops, bars, pubs, restaurants selling liquor in and around Hyderabad will be remained closed for three days i.e, from November 29 (Sunday) to December 1 (Tuesday).

The election commission in a release said that all the wine shops in Greater Hyderabad limits will be closed from 6 am on Sunday to 6 pm on Tuesday. Also, the wine shops will remain shut from 6 am on December 4 (Friday) to until the results are announced.

The elections for GHMC are scheduled on December 1. The counting of votes and results will be announced on December 4.

Around 9,101 polling booths are being arranged for upcoming municipal elections. Kondapur ward has the highest number of polling booths of 99 while Ramachandrapuram has the least with 33. The state election commission instructed the officials to ensure all the arrangements pertaining to COVID-19 were taken.
